My Harry Potter London weekend
Cheerio mates!
I took a quick weekend trip to London in January. I already got to visit London when I studied abroad, but it’s such a big city I could plan several trips around it. This time I was traveling by myself, which meant I got to do the things that I really wanted to do, including the Harry Potter attractions that I had to miss last time.
In 2018, I did the Harry Potter walking tour with Sandemans. This time I had tickets to the Warner Bros Studios Harry Potter tour. I had waited too long during my first trip and tickets had already sold out, but this time I was more prepared.
I had so much fun with the making of Harry Potter at WB studios. They had movie sets, costumes, props and lots of behind the scenes information. I probably spent at least four hours exploring.
My Harry Potter themed London Trip wasn’t over yet. For Christmas I had been given tickets for the Cursed Child Parts 1 and 2 (thanks to the blondes!! Love y’all), so I spent my last whole day in the city at the Palace Theatre.
I did a few other things, too. I got to have lunch with an old friend who now lives in London (hello Jody!) at the The Grapes Pub. It’s owned by Sir Ian McKellen, and has many nods to his role in The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Feel free to check out Jody and her husband’s travel insta here, @EuropeorButts.
I also got to visit The British Museum, another site I had missed the first time. It’s a very big museum, I could have spent a few days there exploring, but I only had a couple of hours. I tried to hit the exhibits that I was most interested in. I’ll save the rest for my next trip.
Stay safe everyone, and keep an eye out for more updates. With the Coronavirus, I’ll be able to finally catch up on my blog.
Talk to y’all soon!
